February/March 2019 Newsletter

Dear friends,

Christmas is over and life falls into a normal pattern for most of us in Chesham. Share a thought, however, for those like Shaleen who entered our lives briefly on Sunday. She has no normal life as we undersatand it. No mother, no money, no ID and no hope. We know little more about her than that. Please include her in your prayers.

As I write, to-night is the night of the BIG VOTE. The outcome will be known at about 8:30pm this evening. What happens next is uncertain. Thank goodness we have our God as the bedrock in our lives. He/she never changes. He is always there ... in trouble and in joy. When I have a problem, I pass it on to him to sort out. When I wake in the morning, he invariably has the answer for me.

Our Church is in a period of uncertainty, but I am really heartened by how many people have stepped up to the mark to ensure that the life of the church carries on.

Our collection for CRISIS over Christmas shows a caring Church and I draw your attention to their Thank You letter inside.

For myself, I am grateful for the help and understanding that Chris and I have had over the last few months. We have had better days and look forward to better days ahead.

I wish you all a year full of hope in 2019.
Tom
