Dear Friends

As Christmas is fast approaching I find myself thinking of Christmases now passed. The tummy twisting excitement of wondering if Father Christmas will bring what you most wanted -------a football or Hornby Train Set or Cowboy Suit or Tricycle over the years. The wonder that he could deliver to so many children in one night, and get so many of the requests right.

Christmas is still a moment of wonder. Despite the efforts of commerce to cash in on the season, the basic message of new birth and new hope remains.

As Christians we are blessed with hope. Every year we are sustained by the hope that good will triumph over evil, that Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

These times of hardship have produced an amazing amount of good will. Food Banks are helped largely by volunteers.

Brave people have driven goods to Ukraine. Donations to Ukraine have been overwhelming. People have taken Ukrainians into their homes. Good has triumphed over evil.

Thanks be to God.

Tom
